ABC News Illustration/Google Earth (NEW YORK) — Since late January, four vessels, including a suspected Chinese spy balloon, have been seen in U.S. and Canadian airspace and were all subsequently shot down by the U.S. military.
And so the issue might have floated away, but for that first object that also spent time over Canadian airspace: an alleged Chinese spy balloon.
In Canada's Yukon province, the search for debris continued Monday, two days after the object discovered in Canadian airspace was shot down, Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand said in an interview with CNN.
Santa's journey through Canadian airspace was again a successful one last night.

She said the balloon had “violated U.S. and Canadian airspace and international law.”

The Defence Department also said Canadian intelligence agencies were working with American counterparts, but did not say whether the surveillance balloon flew over Canadian airspace.
